The Kingdom Increases

Recently, I had two intense dreams in one night.

In the first dream, three huge thugs broke into our house and started ransacking it. As they came in, I was able to close and hold two doors shut to keep them in the large entry room. I called out to my daughter to get my wife and run to safety. Suddenly a large crowbar came through the door on my left, splintering the upper door open. At this moment I woke up with these words clearly in my mind. “There are some things you cannot wait to get until you need them.” At first, I thought about a pistol, but then it definitely came to me, “You cannot find salvation and establish your relationship with Jesus after you die.” The Bible says in Hebrews 9:27-28(KJV) “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: So, Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.”

The second dream has since faded away, but the message remained just as clear,” You will not always have the opportunity to share salvation through Jesus with others.” My neighbor of 40 years passed away this year. I had 40 years to tell him about Jesus. I can’t remember ever mentioning Jesus name to him. People move, come and go. Will you ever see them again? Society may soon severely persecute those who share the gospel. We cannot afford to waste an opportunity to share the good news that there is forgiveness and new life through Jesus.

I want to talk about the Kingdom of God increasing. Matthew 13 is strong on this. You plant a seed and it grows. Leaven is put into dough and it reproduces and spreads all over. An empty net is thrown into the sea and comes back full. Is the Kingdom of God increasing in your circles? Is the Kingdom of God increasing in your church? Is the Kingdom of God increasing in the ministries you are involved in? If the answer is no, then we need to repent and change what we are doing so that the seed of the kingdom is being sown by us. If we are relying on others to do this for us, we have fallen into the Ephesus trap. Revelation 2:2-5(NKJV) “I know your works, your labor, your patience, and that you cannot bear those who are evil. And you have tested those who say they are apostles and are not, and have found them liars; and you have persevered and have patience, and have labored for My name’s sake and have not become weary. Nevertheless, I have this against you, that you have left your first love. Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place—unless you repent.” Our first works are sharing the good news of salvation through Jesus. That’s what I did after I was saved. I had to tell everyone how great God’s gift is. Now I have to repent and do the first works again, or Jesus will have my lampstand removed from its place by Him.

Sowing the good seed of the Kingdom of God is our responsibility. The growth of the seed is God’s responsibility. God will use us if we are willing to be used. We do not have to be anything special, as the next verse shows, its all up to God, and he can use you if you are willing. 1 Samuel 14:6(KJV) And Jonathan said to the young man that bare his armour, Come, and let us go over unto the garrison of these uncircumcised: it may be that the LORD will work for us: for there is no restraint to the LORD to save by many or by few.

As I write this there are 54 people signed up on humbleprayer.com. If each one of us found just one other believer to join us in prayer next week we would double. Suddenly there would be over a hundred of us joined together in prayer. What if everyone on humbleprayer.com did that every week for the next 22 weeks? There would be 226,492,416 of us joined together in prayer! The power of doubling over and over is amazing!

Now, let’s talk about evangelism the same way. Our country is in great distress. God can use the situations of these times to open the hearts of many to salvation. Let’s pray together for our lost neighbors. Ask God to prepare someone who is ready to receive Jesus as their savior, and to lead us to them this week to share the gospel with. Trust Him to do it. He answers prayer. If everyone receiving this e-mail shared the gospel with just one lost person this week there could be 10,000 new believers in the Kingdom! If every believer would do this, the number of Christians could double in a week. Think about that, and talk to your church, believing friends, and those who need Jesus too! We have forgotten about the terrible punishment that is coming on all those who do not believe.Save them from eternal torture and separation from God. Give them God’s free gift and save them from this eternal destruction. Freely have you received God’s Gift, so freely distribute God’s gift to others.

The verses below support what I’ve written above.

Acts 2:46-47(NKJV) So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.

Acts 16:4-5(KJV) And as they went through the cities, they delivered them the decrees for to keep, that were ordained of the apostles and elders which were at Jerusalem. And so were the churches established in the faith, and increased in number daily.

Matthew 13:18-23(KJV) Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower. When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side. But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it; Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended. He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful. But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

Matthew 13:31-33(KJV) Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field: Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof. Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.

Matthew 13:37-43(KJV) He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Matthew 13:47-50(KJV) Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, (the net was thrown out empty) and gathered of every kind: Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away. So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just, and shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

James 5:16-20(KJV) Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit. Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him; Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.

Matthew 21:21-22(KJV) Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

Matthew 18:18-20(YLT) ‘Verily I say to you, Whatever things ye may bind upon the earth shall be having been bound in the heavens, and whatever things ye may loose on the earth shall be having been loosed in the heavens. ‘Again, I say to you, that, if two of you may agree on the earth concerning anything, whatever they may ask—it shall be done to them from my Father who is in the heavens, for where there are two or three gathered together—to my name, there am I in the midst of them.’

Ezekiel 22:30-31(KJV) And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none. Therefore, have I poured out mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their own way have I recompensed upon their heads, saith the Lord GOD.
